Annual Meeting of Members and Friends

More than 150 international trade executives joined World Trade Center Buffalo Niagara & Presenting Sponsor M&T Bank for the Annual Meeting of Members and Friends on November 8, 2007.

WTCBN President Chris Johnston outlined his priorities for the organization and launched a 20th anniversary celebration.

Roberta Dayer recognized businesses and individuals that helped start the organization in 1988 and continue to support the WTCBN today.

Tim Tevens, CEO of Columbus McKinnon also shared international strategies employed by this successful local company in international markets.

As part of the meeting, WTCBN launched its 20th Anniversary celebration by honoring its “Pioneers;” individuals who were instrumental in getting the organization started. This group of “Pioneers” includes Roberta Dayer, Joan Bozer, Lauren Rachlin, Richard Tobe, Randy Clark, Frank Wilton, Warren Emblidge, Ron Schoeneberger and Frank Sciortino. WTCBN also honored the companies who were “Founding Members” of the organization in 1988 and remain as supporting members today. ABC-Amega, Columbus McKinnon Corp., Dunn Tire Corporation, Dynabrade International, FedEx Trade Networks, Gaymar Industries, Graphic Controls Corporation, HSBC Bank USA, Hunt Commercial Real Estate, Insyte Consulting, JPMorgan Chase Bank, M&T Bank, McCullagh Coffee, Phillips Lytle, Rich Products Corporation, Rigidized Metals Corp., S.B. Whistler & Sons, Servotronics, Williams Advanced Materials, API HEAT & Fitzpatrick & Weller.

Current “Alliance Partners” were also recognized for their significant investment and support in 2007: M&T Bank, Speed Global Services, Roberts Gordon, Eastman Machine Company, Multisorb Technologies and Advanced Language Translation.

WORLD TRADE CELEBRATION 2007

On May 16, 2007, more than five hundred constituents from the international trade community came together at Kleinhans Music Hall for World Trade Celebration 2007 presented by Speed Global Services.

World Trade Center Buffalo Niagara organizes World Trade Celebration to recognize the benefits of trade and commerce for our binational region. Event attendees heard from featured speaker James W. Owens, Chairman & CEO of Caterpillar Inc.
